As the Wheel of the Year turns, we enter into the season of Samhain - often called the Witches’ New Year. This cross quarter High Holy Day falls halfway between the Autumn Equinox and Winter Solstice and celebrates the shift into the dark half of the year.

This auspicious time is marked by the Pleiades at Midheaven and the approaching Full Taurus Moon and Waning Sun - a time for celebrating and honoring the cycle of death, letting go, and renewal.

On Samhain (Halloween) Eve, when the veils are thinnest and the Ancestors come forward, we gather to honor the turning of the Wheel of the Year. This gathering is the third harvest and the first of eight Sabbats, celebrations of the changing seasons.
